TOFEL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language. It is an English proficiency test and is conducted to evaluate the English speaking and understanding ability skills of a candidate. TOFEL marks are accepted as a proof of English proficiency in 90000 institutions across 130 countries of the world.
In TOFEL examination there will be three sections: Listening comprehension, structure and written expression, reading comprehension. In Listening comprehension section there will be three parts – Part A, Part B and Part C. Part A will have 30 questions, Part B will have 8 questions and Part C will have 12 questions. In this section candidates need to answer 50 questions in 35 minutes. Structure and written expression section will have two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A will have 15 questions and Part B will have 25 questions. There will be 40 questions in total and candidates need to answer in 25 minutes. Reading comprehension section will have 50 questions and candidates will need to answer in 55 minutes.
