SAT

SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test. SAT test is conducted by College Board and it is required to seek admission in undergraduate. This test is conducted to evaluate written, verbal and mathematical skills of candidates.

In SAT examination, there are four sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Reading Test, Writing and Language Test and Math. There is another optional section called Essay. Evidence-Based Reading and Writing will have 65 minutes reading section and 35 minutes writing and language section. In the reading section, 52 questions will be asked and in writing and language section 44 questions will be asked. In the Math section, questions will on number and operations, algebra and functions, geometry, statistics, probability and data analysis. In Math section there will be two sections. The first section will have 20 questions and it will be for 25 minutes and in this section candidates will not be allowed to use calculator. In the next section candidates will be allowed to use calculator and it will for 55 minutes. There will be 38 questions in this section. Writing and Language section will be based on grammar, usage and diction. Reading Test section will have Vocabulary, Critical reading and sentence-level reading.

In India SAT examination is conducted in cities like Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kodaikanal, Mumbai, Mussoorie, New Delhi and Pune.
