GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test. GMAT is an exam that access analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills of a person. This test is conducted for getting admission in graduate management programs like MBA or aster in Finance related courses.
In GMAT examination there are four sections: Analytical writing assessment, Integrated reasoning, Quantitative and verbal. In the analytical writing assessment section, candidates are asked to complete one essay within 30 minutes. In integrated reasoning candidates are required to answer 12 multiple choice questions in 30 minutes. There will be four types of questions in this section. These four types of questions will be based on Table analysis, Graphic interpretations, Multi-score reasoning and two-part analysis. In Quantitative section candidates will be given 75 minutes for completing 37 questions. The questions will be based on Problem solving and Data sufficiency. In Verbal section, candidates need to complete 41 questions in 75 minutes. The questions will be on reading comprehension, critical reasoning and sentence correction.
GMAT is conducted at cities in India like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Manipal, Mohali, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, New Delhi, Noida, Patiala, Patna, Pilani, Pune, Ranchi, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, Vellore, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam.
