Mandatory Application for Eligibility Certificate-The Medical Council of India

Under section 12 and 13(4B) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and clause 4(2) of the Screening Test Regulation 2002, an Indian National or Overseas Citizen of India who desires to take admission to MBBS or its equivalent course in a Medical University or Institution outside India is required to obtain Eligibility Certificate from The Medical Council of India, New Delhi before leaving the country.

It is not permissible for holder of a primary medical qualification to appear in the Screening Test without obtaining an Eligibility Certificate from The Medical Council of India.

Therefore all applicants who have taken or desire to take admission to MBBS or its equivalent course in a Medical University/Institution outside the country may apply for Eligibility Certificate to The Medical Council of India, New Delhi on the prescribed application Form along with all relevant documents and fee.
