New Year and Christmas are most cheerful and joyous holidays in Russia. During this festival people decorate fir-trees, wear fancy dresses, make fun and celebrate in the joyous company of their friends and families. Russian also celebrates Victory day on 9th May. It is a sacred holiday for every Russian as on this day they pay tribute to the wartime heroes who sacrificed their life for the sake of their nation. Apart from that Russian also celebrates Russia Day on 12th June. Russian also have holiday on 1st May as spring and Labor Day celebration. Russian also celebrates 23rd February as a defender of motherland day which is also known as The Army Day or Men’s day. Russian also celebrates 8th March as International Women’s Day.
